Permissions

Default behavior

  • All Jira users have access to the Booking Hub and all active Booking Flows

  • Only Jira Administrators can create and configure them

This ensures that Booking Flows remain aligned with Jira configuration (issue types, workflows, fields).

The Jira space permissions will always apply when users will create booking requests from the Booking Flows, using the +Book button.


Jira Administrator

The Jira Administrator permission is required in order to perform the following operations:

  • Create a new Booking Flow

  • Edit the Booking Flow configuration

Grant Jira Administrator permissions

To grant Jira Administrator permission to a user, refer to the following article: Give users admin permissions


Booking Flow Permissions

Jira Administrators can delegate the configuration of a Booking Flow to specific users or groups.

This allows non-admin users to manage Booking Flow settings without requiring full Jira admin rights.

  1. Open a Booking Flow

  2. Click Edit Booking Flow

  3. Go to the Permissions tab (Jira Admin only)

  4. Add users or groups who can edit the flow

Users with this permission can edit the Booking Flow configuration, and the creation of new Booking Flows remains restricted to Jira Administrators.
