Editing a Booking Flow

In this article, you'll learn how to edit an already existing Booking Flow.

The steps and requirements outlined in this article can be applied as well to creating a Custom Booking Flow.


Requirements

  • You must be a Jira Administrator to edit Booking Flows. For more details, refer to the Permissions article.


Editing a Booking Flow

Step 1: Open the Booking Flow for Editing

  1. In the Booking Hub, open the Booking Flow you want to edit.

  2. Click the Booking Flow button.

  3. Select Edit.

Step 2: Configure General Settings

  1. Enable or disable the Booking Flow using the toggle.

  2. Enter a Name.

  3. Provide a Description.

  4. Select the Project.

  5. Choose the Issue Type.

Step 3: Select the Custom Fields

Important

The following fields must be available on the Create screen for the selected issue type.

  1. Choose the Start field.

  2. Choose the End field.

  3. Choose the Resource field.

Step 4: Determine Your Link Conflicts Policy

  1. Use the toggle to enable or disable Link Conflicting Tickets.

  2. Choose the Issue Link Type.

Step 5: Configure Statuses

  1. Select the Trigger Status.

  2. Define the Confirmed Statuses. Tickets in these statuses are considered valid bookings for the resource.

Step 6: Set Up Auto Approval

  1. Use the toggle to enable or disable Auto Approval. When enabled, tickets automatically transition to an Approved or Rejected status.

  2. Define the Approved and Rejected statuses.

Step 7: Save or Cancel Changes

  • Click Save at the bottom-right to apply your changes.

  • To discard changes, click Cancel Edit at the top.
