Booking Resources
In this article, you’ll learn how to book a resource in four ways:
From the Booking Hub.
From a specific Booking Flow.
From a Timeline.
Using Jira Create button.
Booking a Resource
From the Booking Hub
Access the Booking Hub.
Locate the Booking Flow for the desired resource.
Click Book.
In the dialog:
Set the Start Date and Time.
Set the Duration or the End Date and Time.
Select resource to book.
Enter a descriptive Summary for the booking or keep the default text.
Click Book.
From a Booking Flow
In the Booking Hub, locate the desired Booking Flow.
Click Open.
Click +Book.
In the dialog that opens:
Set the Start Date and Time.
Set the Duration or the End Date and Time.
Select resource to book.
Enter a descriptive Summary for the booking or keep the default text.
Click Book.

From a Timeline
In the Booking Hub, locate the desired Booking Flow.
Click Open.
Go to the Timeline tab.
On the Timeline, click the exact date, time, and swimlane that corresponds to the resource you want to book.
Verify that the automatically populated Start Date and Resource match your selection, and adjust the Duration or the End Date and Time if needed.
Click Book.
The reservation will appear on the Timeline.
Using Jira Create button
Click the Create button in Jira.
Select a Project and Issue Type linked to a Booking Flow.
Set the Start Date Time.
Set the Duration or the End Date Time.
Select an available Resource from the suggested list. Only resources available at the selected time will appear.
Complete the Summary field if needed.
Click Create to finalize the booking.

Suggestions are powered by smart availability logic and conflict detection.
Ensure that the Booking Flow is properly configured.
